Planned Itinerary

The following itinerary is provided as a general guide and is subject to change based on weather conditions and local factors that may affect our travels. That’s the beauty of journeys like this, the unexpected is present at every moment and makes the adventure even stronger.

October 18: Welcome upon arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to your hotel.
October 19: Equipment check and rest day after the long journey to Nepal.
October 20: Flight to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phadking (2610m).
October 21: Trek from Phadking to the legendary Namche Bazaar (3440m).
October 22: Rest day in Namche with an acclimatization trek to Everest View Point (3880m). We will also visit a local museum to learn about the impact of plastic pollution in the country and how we can contribute to cleaning and respecting it better. Therefore, we strongly encourage you not to buy plastic water bottles but instead purify your water using a SteriPen, for example.
October 23: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3860m).
October 24: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m). Today, we will cross the 4000m mark, which we will celebrate upon arrival in the evening.
October 25: The big day! We start early in the morning to climb our first peak, reaching 5100m. We will go at a pace that ensures everyone in the group reaches the top. It will be a powerful moment when we all admire the landscape from up there! Return to the same hotel in Dingboche.
October 26: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4729m). You will notice that as the days pass, the altitude has less impact on you, breathing becomes easier, and you are less breathless.
October 27: For those who have decided to climb Island Peak, they will head to the Island Peak base camp (5087m), while others can either stay in Chhukung for local hiking or, if they wish (and as recommended by Valérie Orsoni), they can also come to the Island Peak base camp to experience its unique atmosphere.
October 28: Summiting Island Peak (6189m) and descending to Chhukung, where we will celebrate our collective success. For those who stayed in Chhukung, we will celebrate their ascent of a slightly lower peak.
October 29: Trek to Tengboche.
October 30: Trek to Namche Bazaar.
October 31: Trek to Lukla.
November 1: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
November 2: Reserve day.
November 3: Reserve day.
November 4: Reserve day.
November 5: Departure.

The reserve days are in place to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances without having to remove important moments from the adventure. For example, if the group wants to spend an extra day in a village during the first part of the trek, it is entirely possible. Or if the weather doesn’t allow for a departure on October 20 or an ascent on October 28, etc. If everything goes as planned without any modifications, we will take the opportunity to visit the surroundings of Kathmandu, its temples, and other iconic places.
